TallyPrime Upgrade FAQs

Common upgrade, TSS, migration, and customization questions

Yes. We assess the current release, license entitlement, company data, operating environment, and custom add-ons before planning an upgrade to a supported target release.

An upgrade may convert the data format. Keep a verified backup outside the working data folder and retain the original data until testing and reconciliation are complete. Do not assume a converted dataset will open in an older release.

Compatibility must be tested against the target release. Share the add-ons and their supplier details so any required updates can be planned before the upgrade.

Compare agreed items such as company details, opening balances, stock, vouchers, ledgers, tax configuration, and key reports. The business and its accountant should review the results before normal use resumes.

Upgrade entitlement depends on your product, license, subscription or TSS status, and current manufacturer terms. Migration work and customisation changes may be quoted separately.
